Zelensky responded to Senator Graham's call to resign: “Only the President of Ukraine can make such a decision”

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky commented on the statements of Republican Senator Lindsey Graham, who called for his resignation, noting that such decisions are made by the leadership of Ukraine.

Zelensky spoke about this in an interview with Fox News on Friday, as reported by Ukrinform.

“I don’t know if he [Senator Graham] will be satisfied with my words, but only the president of Ukraine has the right to make this decision,” Zelensky said.

He emphasized that in the United States the president is chosen by his voters, as happens in any civilized country, including the Era.

Senator Graham criticized Zelensky on Friday for his approach to Russia and Vladimir Putin during talks with Donald Trump. The senator said the Ukrainian leader “either needs to resign and appoint someone we can work with, or he needs to be replaced.” At the same time, Democrats in Congress expressed their support for President Zelensky.
