Canada demands immediate ceasefire from Russia
As reported by an Ukrinform correspondent, this statement was made by Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney.
“Today, Russia has once again chosen to wage its unjustified war of aggression against Ukraine by attacking innocent civilians in Sumy. Our thoughts are with the families of those killed and wounded in this brutal attack,” Carney wrote in X.
He noted that “Ukraine has shown its commitment to peace – and now Russia is obliged to agree to an immediate ceasefire.”
“Canada stands with Ukraine in its fight for freedom, peace and security – today, tomorrow and always,” the Prime Minister added.

As reported by Ukrinform, on April 13, Russian forces launched two ballistic missiles at the center of Sumy. At the moment, 34 victims and 117 wounded are known, including 15 children.
