Important decisions on new support packages for Ukraine were made this week – Zelensky
President Volodymyr Zelensky announced this in his evening address, as reported by Ukrinform.
“We will continue to do everything possible to protect our people and save lives. I am grateful to all the countries and leaders who are helping us,” the president said.
According to Zelensky, the decisions taken this week on new support packages – after the meeting in Ramstein and on a bilateral basis – are of particular importance.
“Ukraine will certainly survive. We will certainly provide our state, our people with reliable security guarantees. And we always remember: only together are we strong enough to achieve our goals,” he emphasized.
The President expressed gratitude to everyone who is close to Sumy, supports each other and works for the benefit of protecting and strengthening Ukraine and its citizens.

As Ukrinform reports, 51 countries have united in support of Ukraine. The current priority task is air defense.
During the meeting of the Contact Group on Ukraine's Defence, which was co-chaired by the UK and Germany, the partners announced new steps to support Ukraine.
Specifically, Germany will deliver four IRIS-T air defense systems, 300 interceptor missiles for these systems, 30 Patriot missiles, 15 Leard-1 tanks, 25 Marder infantry fighting vehicles and an additional 100,000 artillery shells in 2025. The total cost of additional assistance to Germany until 2029 will be €11 billion.
The UK will provide £450 million in aid, which includes hundreds of thousands of drones, radar systems and repairs to previously supplied equipment.
At the same time, Norway has committed £100 million to funding the UK aid package. Overall, Norway is increasing its military support by €5 billion in 2025. It has also announced €1 billion in aid aimed at munitions and air/missile defence systems.
Belgium announced a €1 billion military aid package. Denmark presented its 25th military aid package, worth almost €900 million.

Lithuania plans to allocate €20 million for the purchase of ammunition. Estonia will soon supply Ukraine with 10,000 artillery shells and military rations for the needs of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. The Netherlands is allocating €150 million to strengthen Ukraine's air defense.
