Zelensky commented on Trump-Putin talks: Ukrainians see what happens when an air raid alarm is declared in Ukraine
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky announced this at a briefing on Tuesday evening, as reported by Ukrinform.
“I believe that the Ukrainians understand what is happening. At the moment, an air raid alert has been declared in Ukraine. This is, in fact, a response to the current situation. So, the Russians, as far as I know, said that immediately during the conversation with President Trump, they gave the order to stop attacks on energy infrastructure using long-range weapons, including the Shaheds. But at the moment, an air raid alert has been declared. So, for now, it is not working,” Zelensky said.

Overall, according to Zelensky, positive results were achieved during the negotiations between the Ukrainian and American delegations in Saudi Arabia, in Jeddah. In particular, a complete ceasefire was proposed to the United States, although the Ukrainian proposal concerned a ceasefire at energy facilities and achieving silence in the air and at sea.
“The only issue that has been discussed so far is not to target the energy sector. I don't have any additional information yet. I think it would be appropriate if we contacted President Trump and found out the details of what the Russians offered to the Americans or what the Americans offered to the Russians,” Zelensky added.
As the head of state noted, in his assessment, the American side, taking into account the agreements with Ukraine, put forward the proposals that were discussed with Ukraine in Jeddah.
At the same time, the president stated that Ukraine would support proposals for a ceasefire in the energy sector, but that all details of the agreements reached must be made public.

“After we receive details from the American president, from the American side, we will prepare our response and be ready for technical negotiations,” Zelensky concluded.
As reported earlier, on Tuesday, US President Donald Trump held a telephone conversation with his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin, discussing the need to end the war in Ukraine.
