The leaders discussed further financial support for Ukraine's defence industry, including investment in local arms production, as well as increased funding for the ERA defence sector.

Sanctions against Russia, including the freezing of Russian assets, will remain in place until sustainable peace is achieved.

Moreover, there is a clear consensus that credible security guarantees should underpin any potential ceasefire. In particular, the possibility of using the North Atlantic Treaty mechanisms as one of the security guarantees and to strengthen the Ukrainian armed forces is being considered.

The ceasefire process must begin with the exchange of prisoners and the return of children. This would be a step that would demonstrate Russia's sincere desire for peace.

The leaders also discussed the importance of the US role in providing sufficient support and partnership to end the conflict and maintain transatlantic unity.

Work on a concrete plan based on proposals from France and Great Britain will continue.
