US Ambassador Reacts to Russian Missile Attack on Sumy
According to Ukrinform, the diplomat expressed her point of view on the social network X.
“Today, Palm Sunday, Russia fired ballistic missiles at Sumy, killing 32 Ukrainian civilians and injuring 99. Reports indicate that, as in Kryvyi Rih, cluster munitions were used, adding to the destruction and harm to civilians. Our prayers with the song Sumy,” she wrote.

In turn, the US President's Special Representative for Ukraine, Keith Kellogg, noted that today's Russian attack on civilian targets in Sumy on Palm Sunday “crosses all boundaries of decency.”
“As a former military leader, I understand what targeting is, and it is unacceptable. That is why President Trump is working so hard to end this war,” Kellogg wrote in X.
On April 13, Russian forces launched two ballistic missiles at the center of Sumy.
According to the latest data from the State Emergency Service of Ukraine, as a result of the missile strike on Sumy on April 13, 32 people were killed and 99 were injured, including 11 children.
Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andriy Sybiha said Ukraine was providing detailed information about the attack to its partners and international organizations, and called on all capitals and headquarters to respond decisively to the crime.
