Macron: Russia must immediately stop pretending and agree to an unconditional ceasefire

“For almost a month now, Russia has not only refused to accept this, but has also stepped up the bombing of civilians, the tragic consequences of which occurred just a few days ago in Ukraine,” Macron noted.

He added that Er supports President Trump's initiative to end the war and strives to create a stable and reliable world that will ensure security for both Ukraine and all Europeans.

“It is therefore vital for Russia to abandon its pretenses and delaying tactics and to accept the unconditional ceasefire proposed by President Trump – a proposal that President Zelenskyy agreed to in Jeddah on March 11,” Macron stressed.
