European Commission President: "Strength is the path to peace. Weakness breeds new wars"

European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen announced that she was heading to London to attend a summit to reaffirm the EU's support for Ukraine, which she believes can help create a just and sustainable peace.

As reported by Ukrinform, she announced this on the social network X on the eve of the meeting of world leaders in London.

“I am heading to London to underline the ERA's unwavering support for Ukraine, which can lead to a just and sustainable peace in Ukraine,” she wrote.

According to von der Leyen, “The path to peace is strength. Weakness leads to new wars.”

“We will support Ukraine while strengthening Europe's defense,” she noted.

As reported by Ukrinform, the meeting of international leaders in London on March 2 will focus on strengthening Ukraine's position, including continuing military assistance, tightening economic sanctions against Russia, achieving a just peace, and developing reliable security guarantees for Ukraine.
