No talk of territorial concessions at Radha-Palis meeting

At the meeting of the Ukrainian and US delegations in Radha (Saudi Arabia), issues of territorial concessions were not discussed.

Deputy Head of the Office of the President of Ukraine Pavlo Palisa reported this on Facebook, as reported by Ukrinform.

Palisa noted that the meeting continued technical consultations on a comprehensive ceasefire, which were previously agreed upon with the American side in Jeddah.

“We have agreed on a ceasefire regarding energy facilities and in the Black Sea, which will come into force after the publication of a joint statement,” Palisa said.

He also pointed out that the Ukrainian side warned the US delegation that Russia would delay the process and put forward additional conditions.

“We informed the American team that the Russians would drag out time and make new demands,” he noted.

Palisa emphasized that this once again confirms the sincere desire of Ukrainians for a just and lasting peace.

“We are interested in a mutual ceasefire and will respond immediately if agreements are reached,” he added.

Palisa resolutely rejected any ideas of territorial compromise:

“As for the 'red lines': there were no discussions about territorial concessions. This is all Ukrainian land that we are fighting for and will fight for under any circumstances,” he emphasizes.

He also noted that Ukraine will continue to work on effective mechanisms to monitor the ceasefire and ensure reliable security guarantees, since there is a clear lack of trust in the enemy.

According to the statement, the US and Ukraine agreed to ensure safe navigation in the Black Sea, prevent the use of commercial vessels for military purposes, and prohibit strikes on energy infrastructure in both Russia and Ukraine as part of the agreements between Presidents Donald Trump and Volodymyr Zelensky.
