Starmer and Trump agree to keep pressure on Putin

On Sunday evening, British Prime Minister Keir Starmer held a telephone conversation with US President Donald Trump, during which the parties discussed a number of issues, including the situation in Ukraine.

This is stated in a press release posted on the UK government website, Ukrinform reports.

The parties discussed the successful negotiations between their teams on the UK-US economic prosperity deal, agreeing that they would continue at the same pace this week.

The press release mentioned that Starmer and Trump agreed to stay in touch in the coming days.

As reported by Ukrinform, US President Donald Trump expressed dissatisfaction with Russian leader Vladimir Putin's criticism of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky and noted that such comments do not contribute to moving matters in the right direction.
