Zelensky signs EU integration law creating two specialized administrative courts
According to information from the official website of the Verkhovna Rada, Zelensky signed document No. 12368-1 on March 24.
On February 26, the Verkhovna Rada adopted a law that provides for the creation of two separate higher specialized courts: the Specialized District Administrative Court and the Specialized Appellate Administrative Court.
The law stipulates that the selection of judges for these institutions will be carried out by the High Qualification Commission of Judges. The competition must be announced within a month after the law comes into force.
The selection of judges will take into account specific criteria set out in the law, with the participation of an Expert Council, for a period of three years.
Additionally, an Expert Council of six people will be formed: three representatives from the Council of Judges of Ukraine and three from international and foreign organizations.
