Zelensky congratulated Jews on Passover
The head of state announced this on the X social network, as reported by Ukrinform.
Many people, he said, recall the story of liberation and exodus – “events that teach us to truly value freedom, to fight for it and to defend it.”
“May freedom and warm feelings fill every heart, and may security be restored for all who, unfortunately, suffer from war today. Hag Pesach Sameach!” Zelensky noted.
Passover is one of the most important Jewish holidays, dedicated to the exodus of the Jews from Egypt. Traditionally, it is celebrated for seven days, but in the Diaspora (Jewish communities outside of Israel), the holiday lasts eight days.
This year, Passover begins on the evening of April 12.
