Ukrainian boxer Vodymir Mandzyuk died in battle
The Boxing Association of Ukraine reported this on Facebook, Ukrinform reports.
“Vodymyr Mandzyuk, call sign Vokha, returns home to Ternopil “on a shield”. Master of Sports in boxing, alumnus of the Ring club, multiple champion and prize winner of all-Ukrainian and international tournaments, champion of Ukraine among students. A fighter in the ring, a fearless warrior on the battlefield,” the statement says.
The association noted that Vodymyr was a true man – honest, reliable and sincere. He loved life, had big dreams, high goals and significant achievements. He was respected by his friends, appreciated by his comrades, he was an example of fortitude for the youth.
In the fall of 2024, Mandzyuk joined the Special Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
The soldier died in battle on April 9, and his funeral will take place in Ternil on April 13.

Earlier, Ukrinform reported on the death of the outstanding mountaineer, master of sports, serviceman of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Taras Tsushko, who died while carrying out a combat mission.
