The Kremlin is preparing to deport 50 thousand Ukrainian children from the Donetsk region
The Ukrainian National Resistance Center (UNRC) reported this on Telegram, as reported by Ukrinform.
“Russia is once again disguising its crimes under the pretext of 'care'. Denis Pushilin, the head of the so-called DPR appointed by Russia, has announced that more than 50,000 children from the temporarily captured Donetsk will be taken to Russia for 'vacation' this summer,” NRC reports.
According to the Center, 13 thousand children will be sent to 26 “sponsored” regions of the Russian Federation, 2.5 thousand children will go to camps such as “Artek”, “Orlyonok”, “Smena” and “Scarlet Sails”, where they will be subject to Russian propaganda programs promoting the so-called “Russian world”.
Also, teenagers aged 14 and older will be transferred to Russian universities as part of the University Shifts program.
The NRC noted that this so-called “furlough” is not an act of care, but a cover for illegal deportation.
“This is forced assimilation, deportation and a war crime under the Rome Statute and the Geneva Conventions. This is an attempt to steal the future of Ukraine,” the Center emphasized.
They also called on citizens to report the organizers of the deportation through the anonymous NRC chatbot and join the resistance movement to “turn the life of the enemy on Ukrainian soil into hell.”
