Zelensky honored the memory of the Heroes of the Heavenly Hundred

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky commemorated the fallen Heroes of the Heavenly Hundred.

The Head of State announced this in his Telegram, as reported by Ukrinform.

“The Heavenly Hundred. Heroes who gave their lives defending freedom, dignity and the right of our country to independently determine its future. Self-sacrifice reminding us of the price of self-determination. Eternal glory to the Heroes of the Heavenly Hundred!” Zelensky noted.

Volodymyr and Olena Zelensky lit lamps at the memorial cross on the Alley of Heroes of the Heavenly Hundred in the capital, which was erected in March 2014 at the site of the mass executions of participants in the Revolution of Dignity.

The President and First Lady also paid tribute to the Heroes of the Heavenly Hundred near their portraits.

Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal and Speaker of the Verkhovna Rada Ruslan Stefanchuk joined the President in honoring the Heroes.

As reported by Ukrinform, on Thursday, February 20, Ukraine marks the Day of Remembrance of the Heroes of the Heavenly Hundred for the eleventh time.
