Work resumed in Kharkiv hospital buildings damaged by drone strike

Repair work has begun in the buildings of the Kharkov Military Hospital, and the reception of patients has reopened.

This was reported on the Facebook page of the Military Medical Clinical Center of the Northern Region, Ukrinform reports.

“As a result of the Shahid strike on the hospital overnight, patients and medical staff were injured and several buildings were damaged. However, operations have resumed in the dining halls destroyed by the blast wave. The hospital cannot stop treating patients even for a minute,” the statement said.

This is not the first time a medical facility has been shelled.

“Russia has committed a crime again – it has used lethal weapons against a medical facility. We say 'again' because this is not the first time a hospital has been shelled. This is an act of terrorism,” said the head of the facility, Eduard Khoroshun.

The hospital has decided not to organize a fundraiser to restore the damaged part, but the staff is calling for donations as part of a previously launched fundraiser for a CT scanner, the cost of which is UAH 30 million.

“We are not starting a fundraiser to restore the facility, we must handle it ourselves. Convert all your rage, anger, indignation, all your sympathy and compassion for our medics and wounded soldiers into donations,” the statement said.
