The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) has approved a loan for Naftogaz to purchase natural gas for the next two heating seasons in the amount of up to 270 million euros, Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal announced.
“Today, the EBRD approved a loan for Naftogaz to purchase natural gas for the next two heating seasons in the amount of up to 270 million euros. In addition, approximately 140 million euros will be allocated through the EBRD in the form of grants from the Norwegian government,” Shmyhal said on Telegram.
According to him, this resource will help Ukraine accumulate gas reserves in underground storage facilities for the next heating season.
