Ukraine wants to host ympics in 2030 or 2032 – sports minister

“We are looking at 2030 and 2032. We are thinking about where to host it [the ympics] in Ukraine, how much it will cost. We are considering more the Winter ympics. We are also discussing the hosting of the Youth ympic Games, or an ambitious goal – an adult ympics,” Huttsait said, Ukrinform reports with reference to Suspilne.

The minister talked about 2030-2032, when Ukraine will be ready to host such competitions. "We believe that in 10 years we will have develment in our country and we will be able to host the ympic Games," he said.

The sports minister also noted that hosting the ympics is an ambitious goal that will help create jobs.

As reported, in October 2020, President Vodymyr Zelensky said that the country has an ambitious sport goal – to host the ympic Games.
