UAF President Andr Pavelko wrote this on his Facebook page.
"The UAF's executive committee has just supported my prosal and approved the football symbs of Ukraine. Forty-five members unanimously voted for the decision. From now on, together with the small UAF emblem in the form of a Trident with the inscription 'Ukraine,' a large emblem – a map of Ukraine with a Trident in the center – can be used at all official UAF events, events with the participation of UAF representatives on the international stage and national team matches," he said.
According to Pavelko, the executive committee also approved the official football status of the slogans "Glory to Ukraine!" and "Glory to the Heroes!" which have been a greeting to millions of Ukrainian fans in Ukraine and around the world for many years.
"In all matches of our national teams, this unique national football code, which contains these attributes, has united all Ukrainians from different regions of Ukraine and our compatriots from different countries and continents. We are obliged and honored to preserve it and fill it with new strength of unity! Congratulations to the entire football community of Ukraine on this historic decision!" Pavelko said.
