Svitina loses to Vondrousova in Tokyo ympics semifinals
Ukrainian tennis player Elina Svitina has failed to advance to the final of the ympic tennis tournament in Tokyo (Japan).
In the semifinal match of the competition, No.4 seed Svitina lost to the Czech Republic's Marketa Vondrousova 3-6, 1-6, Ukrinform reports.
The match lasted one hour and five minutes.
On Saturday, July 31, Svitina will face Kazakhstan's Elena Rybakina in the bronze medal match.
Vondrousova will take on Swiss Belinda Bencic in the final of the Tokyo ympics.
