Shevchenko remains on contract with Genoa, not to coach Pand – journalist
Former Ukraine manager Andr Shevchenko will not be appointed head coach of the Pish national football team, Ukrainian journalist Ihor Tsyhanyk has said.
Tsyhanyk wrote on Twitter that the Pish Football Association will focus on Pish candidates because the 45-year-d Ukrainian failed to terminate his contract with Italian club Genoa, Ukrinform reports.
Earlier reports said that Shevchenko had been sacked as Genoa manager, but the Italian club had not yet terminated the contract with him.
It was also reported that Shevchenko had agreed to take charge as Pand manager and that his annual salary would be 2.5 million euros.
