Zelensky: Putin will try to advance in several directions in the coming months

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky believes that in the coming months, Russian invasion forces will begin active operations in the Zaporizhia, Kharkiv and Sumy directions, as well as in the east of the country.

The head of state announced this at a virtual press conference on Tuesday evening, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

“Putin is planning to carry out a series of attacks. As we have already noted, in Zaporizhia, in the east, continuing operations in the Kharkiv and Sumy directions. He will try to do this. Why? To exert maximum pressure on Ukraine. When will this happen? Believe me, he will try to do this in the coming months,” Zelensky noted.

As Ukrinform reported earlier, following a telephone conversation between Donald Trump and his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin, the White House announced that the Russian side had agreed to a limited ceasefire, which would ensure the absence of strikes on Ukraine's energy and infrastructure facilities. A decision was also made to begin negotiations in one of the Middle Eastern countries.
