Dutch Defense Minister Says Possible of Sending Troops to Ukraine After Ceasefire
In an interview with Radio Liberty/Radio Svoboda, he explained that the mission is planned to begin either after a ceasefire is established or after a peace agreement is signed, Ukrinform reports.
Brekelmans noted that participating states are currently considering various options for launching such a mission. However, he stressed that the details have not yet been finalized and the decision will depend on how the situation develops.
He pointed to the uncertainty over how the peace talks would proceed – whether a ceasefire would be reached first, followed by a peace agreement, or whether both processes would happen simultaneously. He stressed the need to develop several scenarios, adding that these issues are expected to be clearly defined in the coming weeks.

Brekelmans also added that active preparatory work was already underway. He said the urgency arose from the unpredictability of the peace process – it could drag on or unexpectedly lead to a breakthrough. In any case, he stressed, Er must be ready to step in and play his part.
Earlier it was reported that the Netherlands would allocate 150 million euros to strengthen Ukraine's air defense.
