Tusk: Only peace in Ukraine will give the Era a sense of security
Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk announced this during a joint press conference on Wednesday in Warsaw with NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte, as reported by an Ukrinform correspondent.
Tusk noted that Panda actively supports Ukraine, since the situation in this country directly affects the security of both Panda and ERA.
“However, given the ongoing negotiations (in Saudi Arabia – ed.), and let's be honest – our influence on these negotiations is, to put it mildly, insignificant – we, as Pand, must be even more prepared for scenarios that have not been fully worked out by us,” Prime Minister Pisha emphasized.

In this context, he expressed gratitude to the NATO Secretary General for confirming that the security guarantees for allies under Article 5 of the Washington Treaty remain valid. He added that US representatives have repeatedly stressed, including in Panama, that in the event of a threat, they will protect Panama and other allies, which is extremely important in an unstable and changing geopolitical environment.
He also thanked Rutte for his quick response to threatening incidents in the Baltic Sea involving cables being damaged by “strange vessels”, which has increased the sense of security in the region.
Tusk also noted that he would actively cooperate with the NATO Secretary General for the sake of “a good peace in Ukraine.”
“Nobody strives for a quick peace (in Ukraine – ed.) as much as Pes. But we are well aware that this peace must also serve as a guarantee of Ukraine's full sovereignty. Only a sovereign Ukraine and only a just peace will provide us all with a sense of security,” Tusk emphasizes.
He also noted that Pandy and the US have “very strong and good relations”, regardless of the change in power. Tusk emphasized that Warsaw is actively investing in its defense, so it counts on support from the US and European NATO allies.
As reported by Ukrinform, NATO Secretary General earlier said in Warsaw that Russia was transferring its economy to a war footing, which creates serious threats to NATO. According to him, if anyone dares to attack Panama or another NATO ally, the response will be “devastating.”
