Finnish President after meeting with Trump: US patience with Russia is 'running out'

After meeting with Trump, Stubb got the impression that the US patience with Russia is running out.

It is specified that Stubb and Trump met on Saturday, March 29, in Florida. The meeting took place in an informal setting.

Stubb proposes setting a final deadline for a ceasefire in the conflict in Ukraine.

The Finnish president said he had discussed with Trump the possibility of initiating a ceasefire on April 20.

He believes that in order to ensure compliance with the ceasefire, it is necessary to create an effective sanctions mechanism in case Russia refuses to accept it or violates it.

As reported by Ukrinform, US President Donald Trump noted that he was very unhappy when Russian leader Vladimir Putin criticized the authority of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, adding that such remarks were “inappropriate.”
