Senior prosecutor talks to G7 envoys on strengthening independence of anti-corruption bodies
SAP reported this via Facebook, Ukrinform reports.
“The discussion focused on measures to strengthen the independence of SAP and NABU in light of key legislative initiatives, including the repeal of the so-called “Loza amendments,” which gave the head of SAP the authority to independently initiate investigations into MPs, as well as other relevant bills currently under consideration by the Verkhovna Rada. The results and content of these initiatives will be critical to Ukraine's successful fight against corruption at the highest levels of government,” the report states.
