Trump Extends Sanctions Against Russia For A Year Over Invasion Of Ukraine
This is reported in the official statement of the president, posted in the US Federal Register, which will come into effect on February 28, as reported by Ukrinform.
“Pursuant to section 202(d) of the Emergency Management Act (50 U.S.C. 1622(d)), I hereby extend for one year the national emergency declared by Executive Order 13660,” the document reads.
It is indicated that the state of emergency related to the situation in Ukraine, which includes sanctions imposed in March and December 2014, as well as in September 2018 and February 2022 by decrees of previous American presidents, continues to be in effect.

As reported by Ukrinform, the instructions on the state of emergency in the United States and sanctions against foreign countries declared by the US President are valid for one year. After that, they are extended by a separate decree of the head of state for another year.
