Trump Accuses Zelensky of 'Not Ready for Peace'

US President Donald Trump said that Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky is “not ready for peace.”

Trump mentioned this in his message on the Truth Social social network, as reported by Ukrinform.

“We had a very important meeting today at the White House. We learned many new things that we would never have realized without communicating under such pressure and fire,” Trump wrote.

He noted that he had “come to the conclusion that President Zelensky is not ready for peace if America intervenes in it, because he believes that our intervention gives him a significant advantage in the negotiations.”

Trump emphasizes that he does not need an advantage, but rather peace.

He also noted that Zelensky “disrespected the United States of America in its honorable Oval Office.”

“He can come back when he's ready for peace,” Trump added.

Earlier, there was a tense quarrel between Trump and Zelensky, which resulted in the Ukrainian president leaving the White House early.
