Norway's Foreign Minister, Minister of Employment and Inclusion Arrive in Kyiv

Norwegian Foreign Minister Espen Barth Eide and Minister of Employment and Inclusion Tonje Brenna arrived in Kyiv on an official visit.

As reported by Ukrinform, this information was confirmed by the Norwegian government.

Officials intend to hold meetings with their Ukrainian counterparts and analyze the results of the assistance provided by Norway. It is specified that on March 6, the parties in the Storting agreed to increase support by 50 billion kroner, which will raise the total amount to 217 billion kroner by 2030 (approximately $4.8 billion and more than $20 billion, respectively).

“In meetings with the Ukrainian authorities, we can assure you of our long-term commitment to the Norwegian efforts. The Ukrainians are noticing this. Much depends on the battlefield at the moment, but we must also ensure that society continues to function. That people have electricity, jobs to get, a functioning public system and an active civil society is also an important part of the resistance,” says Minister of Labour and Inclusion Tonje Brenna.
