Demonstration in support of Ukraine took place in Times Square in New York

Hundreds of demonstrators gathered in the heart of New York City's Times Square on Saturday to express their support for Ukraine and protest the US administration's course in the context of the conflict with Russia.

As reported by Ukrinform's correspondent in New York, the participants of the event carried blue and yellow flags and held posters criticizing President Donald Trump and his team.

On this day, protests also took place in several US cities.

According to The Guardian, in Los Angeles, demonstrators waving Ukrainian flags protested outside SpaceX headquarters, while protesters in Boston held an “emergency rally” for a “just peace” for Ukraine on Boston Common.

“Ukraine wants a just peace. Ukraine wants the war to end,” the Boston Supports Ukraine Facebook group noted. “Ukraine wants all of this on fair terms with a guarantee of security.”

Also on Saturday, hundreds of protesters took to the streets of Waitsfield, Vermont, to express their stance against US Vice President J.D. Vance, who was visiting a local ski resort with his family.

A public spat between the U.S. and Ukrainian presidents reportedly broke out at the White House on Friday, leading to talks collapsing. Vice President Vance stepped in to criticize Zelensky.
