The number of deaths from the novel coronavirus originating from China’s Wuhan has risen to 4,720.

As of March 13, there were 128,343 cases in total confirmed globally, according to the Coronavirus COVID-19 Global Cases dashboard by the CSSE at Johns Hopkins University.

As of Friday morning, there were 80,932 cases confirmed in China, 12,462 in Italy, 10,075 in Iran, 7,869 in South Korea, 2,284 in France, 2,277 in Spain, 2,078 in Germany, 1,663 in the United States, etc.

The causative agent of the disease was a new type of coronavirus, COVID-19. The virus is transmitted from person to person, with the incubation period lasting at least two weeks.

On January 30, the World Health Organization declared an international emergency over the spread of the novel coronavirus from China.
