US to help Russia restore access to global grain and fertilizer markets – White House

The United States expressed its readiness to assist Russia in restoring access to the international market for agricultural products and fertilizers.

This was announced in a statement by the White House following the talks between the US and Russian delegations that took place in Saudi Arabia on March 24, Ukrinform reports.

“The United States will help restore Russia’s access to global agricultural and fertilizer exports, reduce marine insurance costs, and improve access to ports and payment systems for such transactions,” the statement said.

The rest of the statement largely echoes information released after the March 25 meetings between the U.S. and Ukraine, which focused on ensuring safe shipping in the Black Sea, a ban on attacks on energy infrastructure in Russia and Ukraine, and President Donald Trump's call for an end to “killings on both sides of the Russia-Ukraine conflict.”

On March 25, delegations from Ukraine and the United States held a new round of talks in Radha, on March 23, American-Ukrainian discussions took place, and on March 24, talks between the United States and Russia took place.
