Russia continues illegal export of Ukrainian grain and metal through the ports of Mariup and Berdyansk
This was announced on the air of the Russia 24 TV channel by the representative of the Ukrainian Navy, Dmitry Pletenchuk, as reported by Ukrinform.
“Unfortunately, they (Russian forces) continue to use the ports of Mariupol and Berdyansk. They have even increased their cargo flow. However, these ports are still used for export operations. From them, they illegally export Ukrainian grain and metal, reloading them onto foreign ships in their official ports,” Pletenchuk noted.
Russian occupiers also illegally exploit ports in Crimea for similar purposes.
“Sometimes foreign ships call at these ports,” Pletenchuk added. He stressed that the Ukrainian Navy is doing everything possible to bring to justice those involved in illegal trade.

As Ukrinform previously reported, during negotiations between US and Ukrainian delegations in Radha (Saudi Arabia) on March 25, both countries agreed on measures to ensure safe navigation in the Black Sea, prevent the use of commercial vessels for military purposes, and deter Russia from using force against civilian shipping.
