The Netherlands will allocate 65 million euros to the Ukrainian Energy Support Fund

The Dutch government has allocated 65 million euros to the Ukraine Energy Support Fund to help restore critical infrastructure and prepare for the upcoming heating season.

As reported by Ukrinform, this decision was announced during a meeting between Deputy Minister of Energy of Ukraine Roman Andarak and Special Representative of the Netherlands for Ukraine Erika Schouten, according to information from the Ministry of Energy of Ukraine.

“This is significant support for us, and it will be an important contribution to the repair campaign that is already underway in preparation for the next heating season. Thanks to these funds, we will be able to partially meet urgent needs. Stable energy supply is a prerequisite for the functioning of the economy, critical infrastructure, social services and other aspects of life in Ukraine. We are sincerely grateful for this assistance,” Andarak noted.

Schouten confirmed that energy remains a priority in the Netherlands' ongoing assistance to Ukraine.

The two officials also discussed the needs of Ukraine's fuel and energy sector, particularly in gas production, which has been repeatedly targeted by Russia. Both sides agreed to consider further cooperation in this area.

Since the start of Russia's full-scale invasion, the Netherlands has delivered 211 shipments of energy equipment to Ukraine, totaling about 3,000 tons. These shipments included transformers, generators, mobile gas power plants, cables and other materials needed for recovery work.
