Ukraine's leading express delivery operator Nova Poshta set a record in Moldova, processing 38,137 parcels in one day on February 28, which is more than 50 shipments per minute, the company's press service reported.
“Nova Poshta in Moldova has set a record thanks to fast delivery from the world's largest online stores, such as iHerb, Makeup, Zapatos, Temu, Aliexpress and others. On February 28, 2025, the company processed 38,137 parcels in one day – that's over 50 shipments every minute,” the press service of Nova Poshta noted on Wednesday.
In February, 88% of all parcels received in Moldova came from foreign trading platforms. The most popular goods among Moldovan clients were clothing, footwear, cosmetics, electronics and household appliances, the press service emphasizes.
“This record was made possible thanks to the trust of our customers and the constant work of the Nova Poshta team in Moldova. In addition, in February, we processed 714,805 items, which is 18% more than the figures for the entire 2022. This is an absolute record in the entire history of Nova Poshta in Moldova,” said Sergiu Shapran, CEO of Nova Poshta in Moldova.
According to the report, the previous record was set on December 20, 2024, when Nova Poshta processed 34,476 parcels in Moldova in one day.
New Mail in Moldova has expanded its network to 61 pick-up points, 260 post offices and 31 branches. In the branches, the company has introduced a system of address storage by cell number, which has reduced the time to search for a parcel from 3 minutes to 45 seconds. A new sorting terminal with modern equipment has been launched in Chisinau, which operates around the clock. Each parcel undergoes careful dispatching, which ensures accurate delivery and reduces the risk of loss.
Let us recall that last year Nova Poshta doubled the volume of processed shipments, reaching almost 4 million. The number of shipments to Moldova increased by 26%, amounting to 778,000. The volume of international shipments increased fourfold compared to 2023, reaching 3 million.
