“Four buses from the national gendarmerie, carrying approximately 120 soldiers in total, were involved in a collision. 36 individuals sustained injuries, one of whom is in serious condition, though their life is not at risk,” stated the prefecture of the Yvelines department, where the incident took place.

Initial reports indicate that each bus was carrying roughly fifty servicemen, along with cadets returning from Evreux Air Base.

“The driver of one of the buses, along with the soldiers and two gendarme cadets, were transported to Percy military hospital. Their injuries are not life-threatening,” commented Defense Minister Sebastien Lecornu.
