On March 22, a police pursuit commenced on Boulevard Saint-Germain in Paris during a routine traffic check, culminating in a vehicular collision. Ten officers sustained injuries in this event, as reported by Le Figaro.
The prosecutor’s office indicated that the driver of a vehicle carrying three individuals disregarded a stop signal and attempted to escape. He entered the bus lane and ran a red light.
The pursuit extended over several kilometers and concluded in the 15th arrondissement of Paris, where the driver lost command of the car and crashed into a traffic signal. Consequently, three police vehicles collided with the fleeing vehicle.
All ten injured officers were taken to the hospital, but their lives are not in jeopardy. Additionally, three occupants of the other vehicle were hurt and subsequently apprehended. Two of them had prior records in the police database. Their ages are 19, 22, and 30 years.
