A Tu-22M3 strategic bomber crashed in the Irkutsk region of Russia, the pilot died

On Wednesday, April 2, a Tu-22M3 strategic bomber went down in Russia. This was reported by the Ministry of Defense of the aggressor nation.
A Tu-22M3 strategic missile carrier crashed in the Irkutsk region; the crew managed to eject, but the pilot perished, as stated by the department.
They emphasize that the bomber fell in an uninhabited area. The Russian Defense Ministry indicated that the incident was supposedly caused by a technical failure.
Igor Kobzev, the Governor of Irkutsk Region, mentioned that the aircraft crashed during a scheduled flight close to the village of Buret in Bokhansky District.
He added that there were no damages to residential structures or injuries among civilians.
Kobzev asserts that the search and rescue team which arrived at the location is in the process of evacuating the crew.
A Russian propaganda Telegram channel, Mash, has released footage that allegedly shows a bomber ablaze post-crash.
REFERENCE. The Tu-22M is a supersonic long-range strategic missile bomber featuring variable wing geometry. It was developed in the 1960s and came in two primary variants: the Tu-22M2 (decommissioned in the 1990s) and the Tu-22M3, which was manufactured from 1978 to 1993 and is currently utilized by Russia. The Russian Federation actively employs this aircraft for assaults on Ukraine.
