“The pan will be whiter than snow”: We restore whiteness to enameled pans
Now many housewives have switched to steel pans. They are more practical, easier to use, and do not require bleaching the inside. But many still have enameled pans, Ukr.Media reports.
Enamel is generally a capricious thing, it darkens at every opportunity, and if milk sticks to it, you will have to peel it off for a long time and persistently.
This method allows you to bleach the inside of the pan to a white color. The technique is extremely simple and requires absolutely no physical effort.
Pour water into the pan. To ensure even bleaching, fill the pan to the brim. Leave 2-3 cm from the edge. Pour hydrogen peroxide into the water. Add 100 ml of peroxide per 2.5 liters of water.
We put our saucepan on the stove over medium heat. When the water warms up a little, add a tablespoon of dishwashing detergent to it.
It's best to stand next to the stove when it boils, because at this time your pan will start to foam vigorously. If there is too much water, the foam may rise to the top.
Once the water boils, reduce the heat. Our water should boil moderately, without actively boiling.
We leave our pan in this state for an hour. All that remains is to drain the water and rinse it with clean running water.
The exposure time directly depends on the degree of contamination of the dishes. For minor contamination, 30 minutes will be enough. If the pan is very dirty, you can boil it with peroxide and water for two hours.
If there is no hydrogen peroxide, we go the other way. We take citric acid. We fill a saucepan with water and put it on the fire. The water should cover the entire dark inside of the saucepan.
As soon as the water boils, we start adding citric acid to it. We put it at the rate of 1 tbsp. per liter of water. After that, we leave our saucepan to boil. And here everything again depends on the degree of contamination of the dishes. With a slight darkening of the walls, 20 minutes is quite enough. If the saucepan is very dirty, we carry out the procedure for at least an hour.
After the procedure is complete, drain the water and rinse the pan. If the contamination was significant, it makes sense to additionally clean with baking soda.
And finally, we want to share a recipe for a very effective remedy for dealing with burnt food residue in a pan.
Make a paste of baking soda, you need 1/4 cup, 2 tbsp. hydrogen peroxide and 1/2 tbsp. dishwashing detergent. In fact, you should get a thick slurry. If the composition is too liquid, add more baking soda.
Apply this mixture to your stains and leave it for 30 minutes. If it has set very well, you can leave it on for up to an hour.
In an hour, anything that has burned will bounce off the pan, leaving a white surface behind.
Love your dishes and don't take them to extremes.
