Make your house cleaner in the spring: things that are constantly forgotten when cleaning

Spring is coming soon, which means it's time to start preparing your home for the new season. We've put together a list of seven things you shouldn't forget during your general cleaning, Ukr.Media reports.

Textile

We all carefully monitor the cleanliness of bed linen and towels, but sometimes we forget that decorative textiles also need regular care. Pillows, curtains and carpets can become real magnets for dust and allergens. Therefore, it is worth taking care of them at the beginning of spring – this will help relieve the symptoms of seasonal allergies. When choosing a cleaning method, be guided by the information on the product label.

Decorative items

The same goes for decorative vases, trays, plates, and jugs—they also accumulate dust and dirt. But here things are a little easier: items without a lot of decorations can be put in the dishwasher, but dishes with paintings should still be washed by hand.

Extract

The hood not only cleans the air from smoke and odors, but also catches microscopic drops of fat that settle on the metal grate. Most often, it can be cleaned with dishwashing liquid and a regular sponge. In the presence of heavy dirt, it is worth using special chemicals to remove fat.

Lamps and chandeliers

Chandeliers and light fixtures also collect dust and even grease if they are hung in the kitchen. For cleaning, choose detergents without abrasive particles and soft cloths.

Bin

Even if you take out the trash regularly, the tank itself can start to smell unpleasant and become a breeding ground for bacteria, so it needs to be washed and disinfected periodically.

Bathroom shelves

Soap and limescale build-up can build up on shampoo and shower gel shelves, which are usually hung in shower stalls. You can get rid of it with the help of special chemicals or folk remedies.

Tables and chairs

You probably don't often think to look under chairs and tables when cleaning, but dirt can accumulate in these places too. So don't forget to occasionally wipe the inside of the tabletop and seats with a damp cloth.
