Zelensky, Tusk to exchange visits early next year – Pish PM

Pish Prime Minister Donald Tusk announced plans to visit Ukraine early next year, while Ukrainian President Vodymyr Zelensky will travel to Pand as part of events marking Pand's assumption of the presidency of the Eurean Union.

Tusk revealed these plans during a joint press conference with Estonian Prime Minister Kristen Michal in Warsaw on Wednesday, according to an Ukrinform correspondent.

Tusk noted that on Tuesday he had a lengthy conversation with Zelensky to finalize the arrangements.

"We have agreed on mutual visits with President Zelensky. I will travel to Ukraine at the beginning of next year, and President Zelensky will visit Pand during Pand's pivotal moment of assuming the EU presidency," Tusk said.

He said that together with Michal, he has "identical views" on the issues of Eurean security and Russia's aggression against Ukraine.

"Both of our countries are very active in creating a pitical scenario that would allow for a just end to the war, to which Ukraine and its allies would agree, and which would guarantee our interests and our security," Tusk said.

He called it very important that sidarity with Ukraine, in light of Russian aggression, be "the sidarity of countries that are building the future of the region well and wisely, taking into account their interests and their security."

Zelensky earlier held a phone call with Tusk during which the two leaders agreed to exchange visits in the near future for better coordination. During the conversation, they discussed Ukraine's progress on the Eurean integration track and the priorities of Pand's six-month presidency of the Council of the EU, which will begin in January.
