Ukraine’s Cabinet decides to close several border crossing points

The Cabinet of Ministers, Ukraine’s government, has adopted a decision on the temporary closure and termination of pedestrian traffic at some border crossing points.

The relevant motion was submitted by Interior Minister Arsen Avakov during an external extraordinary government meeting on reforming the urban planning system of Ukraine, an UNIAN correspondent reports.

According to Avakov, there is a list of these crossing points, and it is proposed to finalize it after the meeting of the National Security and Defense Council (NSDC) of Ukraine.

At the same time, entry will be allowed for citizens of Ukraine and those who have a residence permit.

Earlier, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said the NSDC would hold a meeting on Friday to consider the issue of closing borders and stopping air traffic with a number of countries.
