Turke calls for a speedy ceasefire and peace agreement – MFA
Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan commented on the meeting of EU leaders in London for Turkish journalists, as reported by Ukrinform with reference to Sabah.
“Possible options for a peace agreement and ceasefire in Ukraine were discussed, as well as ways to implement them. Different ideas and opinions were presented at the talks. In light of the positions taken by the US in recent weeks, or their increasingly clear formulation, different views have emerged in the EU. All this was discussed among EU leaders. Of course, Türke's contribution here is important,” Hakan Fidan noted.

According to the diplomat, Turkey has its own ideas about both a possible peace agreement and a restructuring of the European security architecture, which were discussed in London.
“Of course, we are closely following these discussions and will consider together whether a peace agreement can be reached in Ukraine and, accordingly, whether Er will have a new security architecture. If there is an immediate ceasefire and then a sustainable peace agreement. What components will make this possible? Different countries have different views on this issue. Our priority is peace,” the Turkish minister said.

According to Hakan Fidan, meetings will now be held more frequently, approximately once every two to three weeks. Technical groups will be formed to continue the negotiations.
As reported by Ukrinform, a summit dedicated to Ukraine was held in London, during which the leaders noted that the basis of potential should be reliable security guarantees. During a conversation with journalists at Stansted Airport, after completing his visit to Great Britain, President Volodymyr Zelensky once again emphasized that Ukraine does not plan to give up the territories temporarily occupied by Russia.
