Talks in Jeddah to speed up return of prisoners of war – Presidential Administration

“We managed to attract even more attention, including from the Americans, to the need to intensify the exchange of prisoners of war and return illegally detained Ukrainian citizens and deported children. Now this process will develop more dynamically. The American side was presented with data. Now this process will happen faster,” Zhovkva noted.
He also stressed that cooperation with the American side is now carried out on a permanent basis.
As reported by Ukrinform, a meeting of US and Ukrainian delegations took place in Jeddah (Saudi Arabia) on Tuesday. Following the meeting, the parties issued a joint statement.

As a result, the Ukrainian delegation supported the US proposal to introduce a complete ceasefire for up to 30 days along the entire front line. This regime can be extended by mutual agreement, subject to the acceptance and simultaneous observance of the conditions of the Russian Federation.
During the talks, the United States announced the resumption of aid to Ukraine and the exchange of intelligence information.
Immediately after the meeting in Saudi Arabia, the Ukrainian side began to develop algorithms of actions for preliminary control over the observance of a possible ceasefire, as well as the modalities of future peace agreements.
