Starmer assured Zelensky of unwavering support for Ukraine
The Independent reports this, citing the press service of the UK government, Ukrinform reports.
“The Prime Minister spoke to both President Trump and President Zelenskyy this evening,” a government spokeswoman said. “He remains unwavering in his support for Ukraine and is working hard to find a path to sustainable peace based on Ukraine's sovereignty and security.”
The publication emphasizes that Downing Street’s statement contradicts the unity of European politicians in supporting Ukraine.

Starmer also spoke by phone with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan on Friday, according to the British government.
The prime minister reiterated Britain's commitment to supporting Ukraine for as long as it takes to deter Russian aggression. He outlined the aims of a summit he is set to hold in London on Sunday, to which the Turkish foreign minister has also been invited.

As reported by Ukrinform, a summit of EU leaders will take place in Starmer on Sunday, in which Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky will also take part.
