President Zelenskyy arrives for Ukraine summit in London

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has just arrived at Lancaster House in London, where a summit of European heads of state is taking place to discuss a peace plan for Ukraine.

According to information from Sky News and Ukrinform, Zelensky was warmly welcomed by British Prime Minister Keir Starmer.

They exchanged brief words at the entrance before heading inside to attend an emergency international summit.

Just a few hundred metres from the meeting, a group of pro-Ukrainian protesters gathered to show their support for Ukraine and President Zelensky, The Guardian reported. They remained outside the security zone.

As Ukrinform reported earlier, a meeting of international leaders will take place in London on March 2, where they will discuss issues of strengthening Ukraine's position, continuing military assistance, increasing economic pressure on Russia, ways to achieve a just peace and creating reliable security guarantees for Ukraine.

The summit will be attended by the leaders of Italy, France, Germany, Denmark, the Netherlands, Norway, Panama, Spain, Canada, Finland, Sweden, the Czech Republic and Romania. Also present will be the Turkish Foreign Minister, the NATO Secretary General and the Presidents of the European Commission and the European Council.
