Foreign Ministers of Ukraine and Hungary agreed to meet soon

The Ministers of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine and Hungary, Andriy Sybiha and Peter Szijjarto, agreed to hold a separate bilateral meeting in the near future to discuss the entire agenda.

Sibikha reported this on the X social network, Ukrinform reports.

“On the sidelines of the Raisina Dialogue [a multilateral conference held annually in New Delhi, India], I had a productive conversation with Hungarian Foreign Minister Peter Szijjarto. We agreed to hold a separate bilateral meeting soon to discuss in detail all the issues on our agenda,” Sibiha said.

Earlier, Polish Foreign Minister Radoslaw Sikorski accused Hungary of blocking the start of negotiations on Ukraine's membership in the EU.

At a press conference in Warsaw, Sibikha emphasized that Ukraine is considering various options for resolving the problem of Hungary blocking the negotiation process, and he plans to use European diplomacy to resolve this issue.

Hungary, citing the EU's principle of unanimity in decision-making on enlargement, continues to obstruct the start of negotiations on Ukraine's accession.

Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban said his government would conduct a poll among Hungarian citizens on support for Ukraine's membership in the EU.
