Britain could send at least 10,000 troops to Ukraine – The Times

At a virtual meeting of the “coalition of the willing” on Saturday, British Prime Minister Keir Starmer discussed plans to form a “Western peacekeeping force” for Ukraine that would consist of more than 10,000 troops.

According to Ukrinform, The Times reports this, citing informed officials.

According to the source, Starmer received “significantly more support” for his plan than the three countries that initially offered to send some of their troops.

Most likely, the bulk of these forces will be made up of military personnel from Great Britain and France.

In addition, a military source said the final number of Western soldiers would be “more than 10,000.”

It is indicated that about 35 states have agreed to provide weapons, logistical and intelligence support to the mission in Ukraine.

If a ceasefire is reached between Russia and Ukraine, it should prevent Russian leader Vladimir Putin from launching another invasion of Ukraine.
