Zelensky congratulated the SBU on its professional holiday

On March 25, SBU Day, President Volodymyr Zelensky noted that after the Russian invasion, the Security Service has become one of the key components of Ukraine's defense and security forces.

As Ukrinform reports, the head of state conveyed his congratulations via social networks.

“SBU Day is a holiday dedicated to strong personalities who have achieved one of the most significant results for Ukraine. During the war, the SBU has become an effective special service – one of the main components of our defensive and protective forces that protect the country from internal threats and achieve significant success both at the front and in the enemy's rear,” Zelensky noted.

He expressed gratitude to the SBU and every employee who ensures the security of Ukraine and is part of this department.

As reported by Ukrinform, since the beginning of the full-scale war, the Security Service has uncovered 102 Russian spy networks, initiated more than 8,700 investigations into enemy accomplices, and conducted over 600 checks into individuals who passed confidential information about the Ukrainian army to the occupiers or recorded attacks.

On March 25, 1992, the Security Service of Ukraine was officially founded. On that day, the Verkhovna Rada adopted the relevant law, and soon after, its employees swore allegiance to the President of Ukraine.
