Russians 'hunt' children with drones in Kherson – ombudsman calls for an end to barbarity
As reported by Ukrinform, Lubinets posted a message on Telegram in which he spoke about a video that had spread on social networks, which showed a boy who had been injured by shrapnel as a result of a Russian drone attack.
The boy said that the occupiers opened fire on him and his friends while they were playing in the street.
“Kherson is constantly subjected to Russian attacks on the civilian population. One of the “entertainments” of the invaders is to pursue civilians with drones and drop explosives on them. This time, the target was children,” the ombudsman noted.
Lubinets emphasized that brutal actions against the most vulnerable categories of people are a gross violation of international humanitarian law.
“The international community must increase pressure on Russia, as every child deserves protection! Impunity only breeds new crimes,” the ombudsman emphasized.
